Butterfly is provided free of charge, but there are costs involved to provide it.  These are mostly costs of running the Butterfly website, and the storage of the iso file on a reputable filesharing download site.

So, any donations that are made will go towards the running costs, and then anything in excess will be donated to the Butterfly Cafe project, a project that is designed to help survivors of abuse to recover and heal.  Butterfly, the safe youtube browser, is not affiliated with the Butterfly Cafe, other than to hope to support its development.
